Cranberry Sauce

I found this super simple recipe for cranberry sauce on Real Simple’s website when searching for Thanksgiving recipes. It is so good! Much better than the sauce in a can. I can’t believe I’ve never tried to make my own before now! I’m sure I will continue to make this year after year.

Cranberry Sauce
Source: Real Simple

Ingredients:
4 cups fresh cranberries
2 cups apple juice
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon orange zest

Directions:
Place all the ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer, stirring occasionally, and cook until the liquid has slightly thickened, about 30 minutes. Remove from heat, let cool, cover, and refrigerate in a serving dish.

Yield: Makes 8 to 10 servings (2 cups)
