Lighter Sausage Crescent Breakfast Casserole

My friend Jennifer made this casserole one Sunday for Sunday School, and I immediately asked her for the recipe. It is so amazing and you will want to go back for seconds and thirds. Plus, it is so easy and only uses three ingredients!! This is perfect for a brunch because you can assemble it ahead of time and it’s hearty and delicious. I also used turkey sausage, fat free cream cheese and reduced fat crescents to make this a little healthier, and it still tastes amazing-but you can certainly use the full fat ingredients.

  1. What doesn’t taste good sandwiched between two layers of buttery flaky croissant dough?! What a great idea and quick dish to make. I love that its only 3 ingredients too!

  2. The Blonde Duck says

    Those look so good! Yum!

  3. I love these! I make them as individual bites – cut the crescent roll in half to make two traingles and use a small scoop to put the sausage on the roll. Makes them easy to eat – not sure if that is a good thing or not!

  4. Love this! We make these and cut them into bite size pieces and call them “man brownies.” They are delish and always a hit! 🙂

  5. Are these things reheatable in the microwave? I’m a college student and reheatability (lol) is imperative!

  6. I’m making these right now, only thing I changed was two packages cream chese and garlic butter crescents. The crescents were not my idea; sent my bf to the store and he grabbed these instead of regular!! Crossing my fingers that they turn our alright!!
