Strawberry on Top: Sophie 18 Months

IMG_0382Wow! I seriously can not believe Sophie is already 18 months old! The time is sprinting by! It feels like we just had her birthday! She is FULL of personality and very curious and observant. She is a sweet but determined little girl who knows what she wants. I have no idea where she gets that from, haha! 😉

She loves to play peekabo, sing, and have dance parties. She loves to pretend to go “bye-bye” with her purse and blow kisses. And she has started loving to pretend to “bake cookies” and also to “go night night & wake-up.” She is still obsessed with all things Frozen and talks about Anna & Elsa all the time. She has also developed a new love for the Minions (Despicable Me) thanks to her dad. We are working with her on counting and ABC’s and she will repeat them after us. It seems like she learns a new word everyday. We went to eat the other day and I gave her some hummus and she said “hummus.”

Easter 2

She has entered the fit throwing stage, which has been a bit challenging but I keep telling myself it’s just a phase (please oh please be a phase)! Her food pickyness has gotten a little bit better, she will at least try most things but spits it out immediately if she doesn’t like it. I try to just remain calm and remember that as long as she’s eating and growing she is fine. I keep trying with those foods and hopefully eventually she will eat more of a variety. She is really sweet most of the time though, and will say “please” and “thank you.”

Sophie Easter

We had a wonderful Easter and Sophie loved hunting the eggs! I also found some fake eggs that we colored with highlighters and let her color with a crayon, that way she could play with them and not break them. She threw a couple of them so I was very thankful we went with the fake ones!
