M&M Marshmallow Popcorn Balls

Popcorn Balls (1 of 2)

It’s almost Halloween! What’s your favorite Halloween tradition? Growing up we’d always have either chili or pigs in a blanket, go trick or treating & go to a local festival. Well, if you still need a fun treat for your Halloween party or just a fun night at home, look no further than these m&m marshmallow popcorn balls! These are so good! Think rice krispy treat but with popcorn instead. This is a gooey, salty/sweet treat. These would also be great to use up leftover candy!

Ingredients:
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter
1 (10 oz.) bag marshmallows
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
12 cups popped buttered popcorn
1 to 1 1/2 cups m&m’s

Directions:
Lay out a couple of sheets of wax paper.

In a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat.

While butter melts, pour popcorn in a very large bowl. Add in m&m’s and stir to incorporate (Start with 1 cup and add more if desired). Set aside.

Once butter has melted, pour in marshmallows, vanilla, & salt. Continue stirring until marshmallows are completely melted.

Pour marshmallow mixture over the popcorn & m&m’s. Stir until popcorn & m&m’s are completely coated.

Lightly grease your hands, and roll mixture into balls and place on wax paper to set.

Once set, you can add lollipop sticks if desired, then store in an airtight container.

Notes:
*You can sub the m&m’s with your favorite candy or leave them out all together.
*If you don’t have time or don’t want the mess of rolling them into balls, you can line a baking dish with foil & spray it liberally with cooking spray. Then press the mixture into the pan. Let set, then cut into squares with a serrated knife.
